One Week and Counting Down

It is hard to believe, but the HUGE semi-annual used book sale at Reston Regional Library is only one week away. One week from this evening, the sale will open for Members' Night at 6 p.m. People who don't have memberships, or whose memberships have lapsed, can purchase them that night.

On Friday at 10 a.m. we'll open to the general public. Don't worry if you've missed Members Night. One of the truly unique things about the Reston book sale is that we restock all weekend. You have just as much a chance of finding that 'jewel' you're looking for each day! So come early, come often!

We take checks and cash. We do NOT take credit cards. We'll have three cashiers set up most of the time and we'll be happy to help you turn your movie tickets from Reston Town Center Multiplex Cinema into savings on your purchases! And don't forget to visit our Specials Room, full of first editions, beautiful books, signed by authors, and otherwise special books. They're priced slightly higher than the books in the main room, but worth it!

The hours:
Thursday (Members Night) 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Friday 10 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Sunday Noon - 3:30 p.m.

11925 Bowman Towne Drive (near Reston Hospital)
Reston, VA 20190

We look forward to seeing you there!

I have been a member of the Friends for some years. My daughter is in the US Army and reports that the library on her base is pretty thin. Would it be possible for me to get some of the books left over from the sale, to donate to the troops?

Brenda, stop by the sale set-up on Monday. Charly has all the answers. The short answer is "yes" we can help, but for the details, we need to talk in person and I don't want to put personal phone numbers or e-mail addresses on the blog.
