Or three or six or more!  You'll find plenty of great books at great prices at the huge Fall 2013 used book sale at the Reston Regional Library [Reston, VA].

The Reston Friends Semi-Annual Used Book Sale for Fall 2013

Friends Night is Wednesday Sept 25, 5-8 pm
Memberships are available for purchase online in advance or at the door.

Everyone may attend the Public Sale, which runs September 26-29
  • Thursday Sept 26, 10 am - 8 pm  (new evening hours have been added!)
  • Friday Sept 27, 10 am - 5 pm
  • Saturday Sept 28, 10 am - 4 pm
  • Sunday Sept 29, 12 noon - 3:30 pm  (the library itself opens at 1 pm)

No children's books are offered at this sale.  Separate children and teen sales will be held in March 2014.


Come and browse through thousands of books in like-new condition, representing all subject categories.  Visit "Charly's Corner" to find special treasures of all kinds. 

Prices range from $.50 and up for rack size paperbacks and from $1.50 and up for hardbacks in like-new condition.  Higher prices may apply for exceptional or rare books.
 
Payment by cash or check only.  Sorry, no credit cards.

We restock every day, for as long as supplies last.  So shop early and shop often!

All book sale proceeds go to support the Reston Regional Library and the Fairfax County Public Library system.  The Reston Friends are all unpaid volunteers who donate their time and energy to support the library.  Yes, donations of gently used books are always welcome!

please note the following policies that are designed TO GIVE EVERYONE A FAIR CHANCE TO SHOP AND TO ENJOY THE SALE.
  • No scanners or other devices are permitted in the media section [dvd's & audio cd's].
  • No scanners or other devices are permitted in "Charly's Corner" [inexpensive eclectic plus collectible & higher value items].
  • If you need to use your phone or other device, please step outside the main sale room.
 
The Reston Friends always reserve the right to limit quantities sold to a single buyer or organization.  For example, on Friends Night, no single buyer or organization will be permitted to scoop up all available books on a single topic or subject.  (e.g. every cookbook or every book on art or every book on chess or every book on cats.... you get the idea).  If you are interested in purchasing in bulk quantities, please contact the Reston Friends in advance so that your needs can be discussed in advance.

The Reston Friends greatly appreciate your understanding of the above policies.  Additional guidelines are posted at the sale itself and most pertain to insuring the general safety of all shoppers.
