height
We mourn when they are out of sight
For all they bring unto our days!
We love to find, on the level of any
shelf,
A quiet read, for sun or candlelight.
We love them freely, as is our right.
We share them openly (or keep to our self!)
We love books with passion strong
But also, since first we read, a need -
To laugh, to travel, to learn through
story and song.
Through books we see all the world,
indeed;
And though we read books our whole life
long
We shall but love them more, the more we
read!
