FAQ - Composer Smacks Head!

In being so careful to formulate the FAQ's we forgot that some people haven't been following the blog for a months or years.  Here is a question received, and the answer:

Will there be children's books at these sales?


No, last year we decided to separate the Childrens & Young Adults books from the Semi-Annual Book Sale and hold a specific sale for those items about a month before the Semi-Annual Sale. We did that last fall, and again in March this year and it was very successful. So there will be NO children's books at this sale, except for collectibles that might be in the specials room.

The best way to maintain current information about Reston Friends of the Library sales is to follow our blog. You can do this by clicking the "FOLLOW" link at the top of the blog on the left (next to Search).  Clicking it will allow you to follow publicly or anonymously.

The Semi-Annual Used Book Sale will begin with Friends' Night on April 21 at 5 p.m. You'll need to have a membership to get into the book sale that evening -- but you can purchase one at the door.  Membership prices:

$15 General Membership

$5 Senior (65+)

Donation Levels

$250 Special Friend

$100 Best Friend

$50 Good Friend

The sale will continue through until Sunday, everyone welcome, with slightly different hours each day.

Thursday & Friday, 10-5

Saturday, 10-4

Sunday, 1-3:30

All categories of books, except Childrens, will be in plentiful supply.

We take cash and checks. Our new Friends cookbook will be on sale at $10 each or buy 4 get one free.

Watch this space for the Toplist -- the list of antiquarian, collectible and unique books that will be available in the Specials Room or by request (depending on the fragility of the copy).
