Follow the Money

Just what does the Friends organization do with the money we raise through used book sales? One important function is that we help underwrite children's programs such as the one featured here.  As part of the summer reading program for 2008, former Harlem Globetrotter Spencer "Spinny" Johnson visited Reston Regional Library with a presentation for children.  Mr. Johnson focused on the power of positive thinking, physical fitness, and self-confidence. The children (and the adults) were captivated by his skills with the ball and motivated by his message.

Thank you, patrons of our various used book sales, for making it possible for the Friends to bring great role models to the Fairfax County Public Library!

Don't forget - this WEDNESDAY - December 3, the Holiday Mini Used Book Sale will begin in the New Books area of the library during regular library hours. We'll take cash or checks for your purchases. If you have questions, e-mail us!
